Well actually I don't gamble I just do the matchups on calpreps.com. If you've never been there you should check it out. It has all H.S. college and pro teams in the nation and alot of comprehensive stuff goes into it. They're accuracy is something like 89%. You can also match H.S. teams up from different seasons all the way back to like '03.

    Re: Region D Football schedules

Clintwood was pretty good last year..and Haysi met their demise there...but they lost to the other top D1 and D2 teams in the playoffs...and Haysi would have done the same...Who in you mind did Haysi play to make you think they could have beaten any of em?...it's not like they beat a powerhouse last year...and I would take that Appy bet and whoever's money that did the betting any day of the week.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

I never said Haysi would've beaten Burton or PV. I'm just saying they would have most likely beaten Appy. Who in your mind did Appy beat that was a powerhouse? Please don't say Gate City, lol. Appy went 9-3 last year. Haysi would've gone 9-3 also with the exact same schedule as Appy. If you were willing to give away your money that easy I'd be more than willing to take it.

And oh by the way Haysi would've made it much more competitive with Burton than giving up a combined 109 points in two games.

    James :

    About Haysi's possibilities - Paintsville,
Pikeville & East Ridge already have full schedules.
Last I saw, Shelby Valley, was looking for a game on 9/7.

    PVFAN -

For football ratings, you divide by the number of public schools you play that are on your schedule by a certain date (10/15, if I'm not mistaken - someone from Ervinton should know for sure). So they could play Wise Co. Chr. or Hargrave Military, but it wouldn't count.

    Re: Region D Football schedules

Well..If you are going to compare scores with teams that Haysi more than likely run the score up on vs. the same teams scores against Appy, that is a fallicy right there..So, if ya want to be comparative, Appy wore out Clintwood who beat Haysi in November. So, (and I know this type of comparison is faulty just as your numbers are faulty as well) Appy would have beaten Haysi...BTW..who did haysi play out of district that would have beaten GC that Appy didn't play...That is all there is to say about that.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

I would love to see the indians atleast go 5-5 this next coming season. I believe they will have a way better team than what they have had since saunders has been gone.

    Re: Region D Football schedules

Useing Clintwood as the common opponet for Appy and Haysi.

#1 Clintwood lost to Haysi in week 2 (Clintwood was still finding there way as a team and Haysi was just a flat better team)

#2 Clintwood lost to Appy in week 3 (Clintwood could not stop Appys 3 yards ana cloud of dust offence even though the first few drives Appy had to convert several 4th downs. Clintwood then did the one thing you never want to see a team do they layed down and let Appy kick the crap out of them this was without a doubt the low point of the year)

#3 Clintwood beats Haysi in week 11 (Clintwood played well, Haysi Played well and probably should have won the game on the foot of there kicker who missed 2 FGs that game (Not sure if he had missed 1 FG all year before that game))

IMHO (Keep in mind I am a Clintwood hommer LOL) I think if Clintwood had played Appy in week 11 then I would pick Clintwood and at the very least it would have been a much tighter game than the first meeting

As far as Haysi vs Appy last year .....It would have been a tight game but I would have to give Haysi the edge since IMHO Haysi was much better on the LOS had a solid power running game and a QB that while not blessed with the best arm was as good as I have seen at running an offince and could keep a team from stacking the middle to stop Powers

All that being said we may get to see this game this November insted of wondering what might have been in May

As for the Haysi schedule I know it is not easy to get teams to play (Clintwood tried to get Va High the last cycle and they were willing to play but wanted both games to be at Bristol) But Haysi DID have the chance to play PV and they played the waiting game tring to get (Lecher Co I think) and lost out on not only LC but PV (PV scheduled TW insted)

All in all while Haysi could do a better job beefing up its schedule it is not 100% there fault
